is free! This year's event will feature approximately 300 professional and amateur street painting artists from New England creating 70 concrete masterpieces on Union Street for a
chance to win an award, an Artisan Marketplace highlighting 60 booths filled with handcrafted items by local
and regional artists on Westminster Street, live entertainment by "Bandstand Review," "Milt Javery," and the "Ignitors" performing amazing
music, and a food court offering a great selection of food and refreshments. Thousands of attendees, young and old, will enjoy a beautiful
Autumn day appreciating the diversity of the arts!
What is the Providence Rotary Street Painting Festival all about?
It's a celebration of art and artists in Providence, where businesses and
individuals come together to donate time, money, and talent to benefit charitable
causes focused on children and youth in Providence.
Artists of all ages volunteer to create art on “canvasses” donated by our generous sponsors. At the end of the day the prizes are awarded. Under 12; Middle School; High School awards are presented at 3:00 PM, the College and Adult prizes at 4:00 PM, and the “People’s Choice Awards” at 5:00 PM. The total award pool is $3,000!
This year's event is moving to the revitalized retail area of Westminster and Union Streets and adding the Artisan Marketplace where visitors can purchase handcrafted items by local and regional artists. Refreshments and musical entertainment will be available throughout the day.
